Founded in 1943, Devereux Cleo Wallace (DCW) is Colorado’s premier facility for the treatment of psychiatric, emotional, and behavioral problems in children and adolescents ranging in age from 8 to 21. Located in Westminster, Colorado, a northwest suburb of Denver, DCW offers a full continuum of care as well as an independent living program, residential and day treatment services. Children and adolescents with significant mental health needs are provided intensive psychiatric treatment in a highly-structured, therapeutic setting within DCW’s 112-bed residential facility.
- Braconier encourages you to view the DCW video and discover the good work Devereux Cleo Wallace does for the kids of our community. We encourage you to get involved if this worthwhile cause has moved you like it has moved us.

Braconier History & Tradition
- 1906; Benjamin J. Braconier established Braconier Plumbing when he opened his office at 1076 South Gaylord Street. Benjamin, being the entrepreneur he was, made benches out of pipe, and placed them on corners where people could sit and wait for streetcars and buses. They provided great comfort to the public and served as great advertising for Braconier in the early 1900’s.
- 1949; The business was sold to Joe McCarty who operated it successfully for 40 years.
- 1989; Al Stone purchased the company. Al moved from Chicago to Colorado after serving as the project manager for the mechanical construction of the Sears Tower. His personal experience, hard work ethic and commitment to super-serving the customer has propelled the company to the level of success his company enjoys today
- Under the guidance and leadership of industry veteran Al Stone, his son Tom Stone (President of Braconier), Paul Stortz (Executive Vice President) and their dedicated staff of professionals continue to super-serve homeowners and businesses alike. The Braconier Company continues to grow by working hard at earning the trust of homeowners, business owners and general contractors. This dedication to super-serving their customers has resulted in a large group of repeat customers for the company and references are always available upon request.
- Some of Braconiers’ largest owner clients are Lockheed Martin, Longmont United Hospital, Qwest and Denver Health
- Braconier was awarded the ACE Award for Construction Excellence from the Association of General Contractors. This prestigious award was a result of their HVAC work on the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, prior to the visit of Pope Paul II during World Youth Day and for their work on the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes.
